StudyRoar is an educational study tool. This policy explains how we handle information when you use the app.
We store your account identifier, email address when provided by your sign-in provider, student type, study progress, and subscription status in our secure cloud database. Apple or Google handles authentication.
PDFs and clear images you choose are stored privately in our secure cloud storage. To generate flashcards, the selected material is processed by our backend infrastructure and trusted third-party AI services, subject to the AI-processing consent shown before upload. Generated decks, cards, source references, and review schedules are stored in our secure cloud database.
We send material to third-party AI services only after you accept the current disclosure. Do not upload patient-identifiable, confidential, or copyrighted material you lack permission to use. AI-generated study material may contain errors and is not medical advice.
Apple processes subscription payments. A trusted subscription-management service helps us verify purchase and entitlement status. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
We may store a limited first-party product funnel in our secure cloud database using event names, counts, durations, modes, identifiers, and safe error codes. Events and operational logs never contain filenames, source material, cards, excerpts, email addresses, or authentication-provider data. Mobile crash reports are provided through Apple.
We use information to authenticate you, provide private generation and study features, enforce quotas, restore purchases, maintain review schedules and rewards, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and improve reliability.
We retain account and study data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. You can delete your account in Profile and Settings. Deletion removes your authentication identity, private sources, decks, cards, reviews, generation jobs, rewards, and associated first-party events. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription.
We use private storage, database-level access controls, authenticated server operations, and limited-access service credentials. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
StudyRoar is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.
We may update this policy as the service or its processors change. We will update the effective date and request renewed AI-processing consent when the relevant disclosure or downstream provider changes.
